Task Description

Expert Crowd is launching a new crowdsourcing website dedicated to the marketing needs of small and mid sized businesses. We have already created significant marketing channels to ensure our crowd gets a steady diet of guaranteed, quality projects.

We need to launch a coming soon page where we will announce the service and invite designers & programmers to pre-register in advance of the customer launch. Crowdsourcing industry standards for designer registration, profile and portfolio are well established. Give us the basics but use your experience and perhaps frustrations with the status quo to design a better interface.

At minimum, we need the following pages designed and built using HTML/PHP:

1. Coming Soon- Explains the service and showcases work done by our talented crowd. Invite designers to seed our crowd prior to launch by "clicking here".
2. What's Expert Crowd? - ajax window with text description
3. Registration- Required credentials for all methods: First/Last Name, email & password. Confirm with Captcha. Registration options include Facebook, LinkedIn & Twitter credentials (API work). Send branded email confirmation.
4. Create Profile & Portfolio- collect information common to other crowdsourcing sites- edit, delete, image or avatar, specify skills/expertise, upload work examples.

When coding this, think smart web, Ajax, Twitter, "desktop behavior online"

Designers - I'm new to this and I'd like to know how this usually works. I like the designs that you've submitted but asked for 4 pages and one email template - all to be coded as well. Is this something that we work together to create after I've chosen one design/designer?

I'm going to extend the timeline but wanted to know how this process usually works and I was also curious as to why there have only been two designers working on the project. Is it because I have elected not to guarantee the project?

we are very interested in you project, but your budget is very low regarding programming, in this budget we will provide the design for the required pages with its html/css. (no programming include) for programming you have to hire the programmer.

well its good that you have extended the days for the project. if you like any of the designers work and want him to work for all the other pages then you have to give him the feedback regarding his designs and if you satisfy for what you get is what you required then you pick him as the winner. and as per the issue that there are not so many designers work's on your project is that your project is not guaranteed if you make the project guarantee you will surely get more designs. hope so this information is useful for you.

Thanks for the invite... the project sounds great!

I'll try my best to get something over to you soon... the project invite was a little late as there is only a few days left...

In response to you query : I think the best way of going about a contest that involves coding is to select your winning design first and then code afterwards.

This is so the designer can be sure that he or she will be properly compensated for the many hours of intensive hard coding they are going to have to put into the project... Its one thing not to get paid for a design draft and another thing not to get paid for a properly coded website lol :)
