Motorcycle Club Needs Patch/Logo

Could you be more specific? What kind colors do you prefer?What kind logo? should it be similar to other clubs logos? Do you have any symbol? Sorry that there are so many questions, but you didn't wrote information about logo that you want. I think its very interesting club and I'm will wait for updates.  

Thanks for your interest.  We don''t really have any preferences other than to say that the usage will be similar to other motorcycle clubs or riding groups.  A motorcycle club''s logo or patch is typically identified by two rocker patches and a center patch.  The rockers are usually curved bars with the top bar designating the club''s name and the lower bar designating where they are located.  The two rockers are separate from the middle, larger graphic center patch, where the logo is typically displayed.   I hope that makes sense.  We dont want to use RED letters in the rockers and also should stay clear of designs similar to established MC''s (i.e. Hell''s Angels, Outlaws, Pagans, Mongols, Bandidos, BACA, etc.).  For some background, you might find it helpful Google search for images of "MC Patches" and/or "Biker Patches".

Hi, the heading says t shirt design and your description says you need a logo. which one is it that you need? also what is the text that you require for the logo?

As I understood your motor club is concerning helping those less fortunates. So, in my opinion the logo can contain an image that represents helping and support. Am i right ?

Yes, that would be the preference, BUT, the design need to first be true to its motorcycle club roots.  For reference, please take a look at some of the sample motorcycle club patches in the briefing.  Cheers,

It might be hard for those not in the U.S. to understand but motorcycling is a very popular hobby here. There is a whole style and look that goes with it. Follow the instructions and look at the samples the project owner suggests so you can get a feel for it.

NOTE:  Thanks everyone for your patience.  I''ve been out due to an emergency.  Here''s some quick feedback.  I''ll do by best to respond as well to those needing specific design feedback.

1) ALL designs should have the words "The Extra Mile" above a central logo or design and the words ''New York" below the central design.

2) LANDMARKS - The design should also function with other locations as the club will also be franchised in other areas.  For example, the design should NOT include landmarks specific to New York or other locations.

3) COLORS - We prefer that the text in the upper and lower areas (i.e. "The Extra Mile" and "New York" respectively) be displayed in either black or white fonts.

Hi Everyone,

We should have feedback out today for all individuals with questions. 

NOTE - We are still getting submissions that do not take into account the SAMPLE layouts in the file upload area;

1) SEPARATE AREAS FOR  a) upper area for our name ("The Extra Mile"), b) center area for the main logo, and c) lower area for location ("New York")

2) COLOR FOR TYPE- We have decided that we like upper and lower patch areas in either white with black copy OR black with white copy.

3) THINGS TO AVOID - Yes, we''re a motorcycle club, but we''d like to stay away from SKULLS because or our work with KIDS and also cancer victims.  We''d really like to still have an "edge" and a "biker" look but instead use maybe wheels, wings, road marks, stylized drawings or icons of motorcycles (BUT not to indicate 1 specific make or model).

4) MC Patch - We do NOT need a "MC" on the patch for now.

Hi guys,

One of you asked for some clarification on possible design elements.  We don''t want to use skulls (as we do some work with cancer victims, etc).  Here are some other ideas for possible use in our design:

1) Wings on a wheel
2) Wings on a motorcycle rider
3) Stylized motorcycles (i.e. illustrated so as to not be recognizable as a specific make or model of bike)
4) Parts of a motorcycle (i.e. pistons, engine, spark plugs, etc.)
5) A long highway stretching into a distant horizon
6) Odometer
7) A thumb from a hitch-hiker
8) Highway road sign

• Hello,

          I submitted the design #199989, as you can see the  rockers are not so good as the logo in the middle. This is because I didn't had the time to make them as I wanted to do them. It is not a big deal for me to design other rockers if you want.
