UPDATE...UPDATE...UPDATE
We have updated our Brief as we felt that from the responses we had not been clear enough and thought it best to simplify what we are looking for to help you. So we are also extending the deadline.
We need new Company Logo for planned upgrade of website - see our current logo at our website - www.cqlproductions.com
CQL Productions is a small company that works in digital films. We do documentaries, dramas and as filmmakers our tool kit is light. So our Company name - CQL stands for "creative quick light".
We want the letters CQL to be written in light (a good example is step 36 in this link - http://videocreative.org/vector/08/light-painting/content.html)

We are seeking something creative and more than just a font style in light..
The logo will be used on the website and on all films and will possibly be animated.
It also MUST be simple to standout clarly on a facebook thumbnail (this is very important)
The first thing we want is how you 'write' the three letters CQL (as if it is written in light....) and the tail of the L will run between the words CQL Productions on the top and "creative quick light" on the bottom (see very bad example of jpeg ...attached.
We will change the font of the text also so consider how you would change that to link to your light logo.

Note: This is our first project with DC and we are serious to get a design (not tyre kicking to take your IP) however, we need to be assured that the quality will meet our needs so we have not guaranteed the project. However, we have another project after this which is to design a logo and website poster for a music documentary and we will offer this project (guaranteed) to a limited number of designers based on who we work with on this project - after we are successful with this project.
Open to suggestions on palette but limit colour to 2or 3 if possible (we can work on this later...)

First let me thankyou for submitting your design. I apologise for my late reply but I had to go away for family funeral and deal with some personal issues.
I have submitted all your designs to our team and unfortunately we have not agreed on a suitable logo. This has nothing to do with the quality of the submissions however for some of the submissions we did not feel they fully addressed the Brief.
We have decided to postpone a logo change at this stage....however as we continue to review we might come back to you.
However we are putting in a new submission for a logo and poster layout for a film which will be guaranteed. We are finalizing the film in the next few weeks and when we post this project we will personally invite all designers who have submitted to this project.
We hope this will compensate for your time and trust in us and the process. This has been a first step in using this Design Crowd and we didn't feel comfortable commiting funds until we were assured of the quality of submissions.
We will be in touch in the future.
