Task Description
We need to redesign a one page “summary report” of the results of clinical tests (blood test, urine test, etc.).
The objective of this project is to make this one page as clean, simple and fast to understand as possible.
At the moment we have divided the over 400 existing clinical tests in 9 categories: blood, liver, hearth, iron, prostate, thyroid, blood chemical analysis, kidney and “others”. The summary page should contain information only about these 9 categories and not the 400 tests.
Varying from what tests the patient undertakes the summary page may contain all or only a part of these categories (the design of the summary page needs to take in account this characteristic and allow different numbers of categories to be displayed).
Furthermore we are able to assign a value at each category that determines the healthiness of the patient in that category. The value itself shall not appear in the summary page, but it should be showed in a graphic way.
For each category different remarks and suggestions can be given to the patient and the design page needs to allow enough space for the text that has to be inputted.
You can find attached a draft of how we imagined this page. The draft is only a support to better understand the task that is requested to the designer.

  • I post for you an article from Wired magazine with some interesting designs.

You can maybe find here some good ideas.
However keep in mind that the information that we have available to create this summary page are those written in the brief and not those that Wired magazine used to create their designs.

Target Market(s)
Anyone that receives clinical tests results. (Mainly older people)
Look and Feel
Each slider illustrates characteristics of the customer's brand and the style your design should communicate.

Must Have:
- Clean and simple design
Flexibility in the number of categories
Space for written remarks and suggestions
The reading must be intuitive so that a patient can understand straight away his/her condition and what he/she can do

Nice to Have:
- Graphical representation of some remarks and suggestions

I will make it guaranteed once I receive at least a draft design that I like.
I just want to make sure to get some value out of this contest.
I hope you can understand.

I am looking forward to receiving your designs.

Quality designers won't participate in non guaranteed projects. That's why most project holders end up cancelling them. Because most designers don't invest time in them.

Hope that helps.

Thank you for the invitation. However, I have accepted in the knowledge that I cannot meet the deadline date. As you have so few submissions, I am taking a gamble that you will probably extend the date. I will not be available to work on this for approximately a week from now.

As I understand it, your requirement for a variable number of categories to be shown, pertinent to each client's individual test requirements, suggests to me that you are looking for an interactive page, which can be completed online by your staff. Will the page/form be stored on your website, for example, where it can be accessed and completed by staff, using interactive input?

To achieve any interactive input, the page requires programming behind it. I am not a programmer and can only present a layout which would accommodate the potential for this and then a programmer would need to write the code behind the page to enable the interactive (hide/show) properties. Is this what you are looking for?

I made the project guaranteed and extended the deadline.
I hope this is going to make it more appealing to all of you!

@ GrafiXotiX

You are right. I am only looking for a layout that could accommodate this feature. The programming will be done in second moment.

Yes, you need to follow the guidelines and redesign it. However I would like you not to stick too much to the draft design and come out with some creative way to show the state of each category.

Thank you,
